EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
- Football.
- 6 cones (or similar).
- Tennis ball or smaller ball.
- 1-2 training partners for some drills.

FOOTWORK - AGILITY

Quickly target footwork and coordination. Easy to follow, this warmup drill is a training fundamental used by the professionals and is a great starting point to improve your agility and reaction speed.

DRILL 2:

FOOTWORK - GAME AWARENESS

Patrick Cripps outlines a footwork focussed drill to advance your agility and balance. This warmup is used by the professionals to get your feet firing for quicker reaction speed and coordination in-game.

DRILL 3:

FOOTWORK - STOPPAGES

Become a better Midfielder with Crippa’s favourite stoppage drill! Practice engaging opposing players and creating space during contested balls while also improving your hand-eye coordination and ball handling.

DRILL 4:

STOPPAGE CRAFT - CONTESTED

Establish more advantageous positions for those crucial moments during ball ups, centre throws and boundary throw ins. This expert drill allows you to train creating space between you and an opponent.

DRILL 5:

ONE-HANDED TAKES

Cripps showcases a breakdown drill that was first shown to him by his mentor and AFL legend, Greg ‘Diesel’ Williams to establish better ball control and grip strength.

BALL CONTROL - TOUCH & FOCUS

An easy-to-follow training technique for improved ball handling skills, hand-eye coordination and in-game focus. A fun warmup for controlled ball handling and encourages you to keep your eyes up on the field.

DRILL 7:

GROUND BALL - CONTESTED

Prevent injury and evade tackles with this ground ball drill. Cripps demonstrates how to better generate power out of tackles and train your footwork when gathering ground balls.

DRILL 8:

ABSORBING TACKLE PRESSURE

Improve manoeuvrability for clean disposals under pressure! This easy-to-follow drill corrects your stance and trains you to adjust your centre of gravity to better control your tackler and maintain powerful positioning while absorbing tackles.

TOUCH & RELEASE FROM STOPPAGES

Advance your reaction speed and disposals with one, comprehensive exercise. This elite drill trains your agility, positioning, ball handling skills, targeting and footwork to improve your disposal accuracy and speed.
